TGC UK LTD YOUTH PROGRAMME

It is often said that the youth are the future of a country. The truth in the above quote is succinctly reiterated in the following statement by Kailash Satyarthi: “The power of youth is the commonwealth for the entire world. The faces of young people are the faces of our past, our present, and our future. No segment in society can match the power, idealism, enthusiasm, and courage of young people.”
Our aim is to harness the wisdom contained in these quotes to shape a youth policy and program that will establish vibrant Ghanaian youth groups, incorporating the values of Ghanaian culture, We intend to support these young individuals in enriching their skills and knowledge, fostering enthusiasm and achieving their full potential in their chosen careers. Similar to our Welfare program, our community will also be defined by the implementation of our Youth program.
YOUTH LEADER AND YOUTH COORDINATORS
Within this framework, we will appoint a Youth Leader with the following responsibilities:
-
- Overseeing the Youth program.
- Collaborating with the youth groups to develop the annual youth program and presenting it to the Management Committee.
- Coordinating with the Coordinators to ensure effective organization of youth in various groups.
- Attending at least one meeting annually and providing a report on the youth groups to the Management Committee.
In addition to the Youth Leader, we will have Youth Coordinators who will work at the grassroots level, assisting and supporting youth in implementing all aspects of our program. They will work in tandem with the Youth Leader to effectively manage our youth.
SAFEGUARDING OFFICER
The Safeguarding Officer’s duties will include:
-
- Being responsible for planning and monitoring all aspects related to vulnerable groups within TGC UK.
- Responding to any allegations, past or present, of inappropriate behaviour or actual abuse of children or vulnerable adults by any person, whether paid or voluntary. This includes liaising with the police and social services.

- Collaborating with the TGC UK Welfare Scheme to assess the needs of new members and recommend appropriate assistance or support to the Welfare Committee.
In the words of Albert Einstein, “I live in that solitude which is painful in youth but delicious in the years of maturity.” Let us unite to support our youth in achieving just that.
