Welcome aboard our epic journey to acquire property and establish a Hub or Community Centre for ourselves, our friends, and supporters. As seen on this platform, other groups like the Jewish, Indian, Turkish, and West Indian communities have successfully done so, and there’s no reason why we cannot achieve the same. This journey will undoubtedly present challenges, akin to John Bunyan’s experience in “The Pilgrim’s Progress” (1678). However, with unwavering determination, steadfast willpower, and a single-minded commitment to our goals, we will succeed together.
A significant milestone on this journey is the launch of our brand new website. I would like to express my gratitude to all who contributed to making it a reality, particularly our web designer, Mr. Andrew King.
Our maiden voyage has been smooth thus far. After initial issues with the name, we have settled on “Trinity Ghanaian Community UK Ltd.” We have also agreed on our logo and email. Throughout these decisions, we consulted the community, and we hope to continue fostering this cooperative spirit in our future endeavour.
In a viral video, we observed the major challenges facing our community. Here are some key points for your consideration:
A. HOW TO SUPPORT YOUR ASSOCIATION/ORGANIZATION:
• Paying dues
• Attending meetings
• Offering suggestions at meetings
• Volunteering when needed
• Making voluntary donations
• Providing constructive criticism
• Maintaining cordial relationships with others
B. HOW TO HARM YOUR ASSOCIATION/ORGANIZATION:
• Neglecting dues payment
• Not attending meetings for better ideas
• Unwillingness to serve
• Engaging in backbiting
• Failing to maintain good relations with other members
• Revealing the club’s objectives to third parties
• Consistently complaining about the administration behind their backs
C. HOW YOUR ASSOCIATION/ORGANIZATION CAN SUPPORT YOU:
• Patronizing services, products, or ministries
• Offering support during times of bereavement
• Attending personal functions (birthdays, housewarmings, etc.)
• Providing assistance to the unemployed, sick, etc.
• Facilitating connections with individuals who can support your dreams if necessary
• Keeping each other updated
In the near future, we will be inviting members to take up roles within the Management Team or other parts of the organization. I humbly urge our members to respond positively when called upon to help.
May the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and always as we embark on this lengthy journey.
