Fellow Ghanaians, Friends, and Supporters,
Today, I want to share some exciting news about our brand new community, Trinity Ghanaian Community UK Ltd, trading as TGCUK. We are registered as a company without shares capita, as we are a non-for-profit organisation working to gain charity status. This means that any profit or excess of income over expenditure is put back into the company to achieve its aims and objectives as set out in our mission and vision statements.
Our purpose here is to fill a void in our social lives and bond together firmly as a community to support ourselves, our youth and the elderly, sick, lonely and vulnerable members in our community. Presently our social live is all about funeral celebrations. Our week-ends are spent attending funerals. While these moments of support are important, we feel this must change in favour of investing our time and resources into building up our community, nurturing the youth and caring for the elderly and standing by those who are vulnerable or in need.
We aim to establish a sound financial structure that will make us a sustainable community. We hope to fundraise by recruiting 500 members each paying a monthly dues of £10, generating £5000 a month or £60,000 a year. In tandem with this we also plan to undertake fundraising activities within our Community.
To do this, we must ensure that our services are outstanding and efficient. Efficiency should be the hallmark of our administration, encouraging our existing members to recruit new ones. Each member should strive to bring in at least two new members annually.
Remember, together, we can accomplish great things and leave a legacy for our youth. Our unity and collective effort will pave the way for the success of our Trinity Ghanaian Community UK. Let us work hand in hand, share our talents, and support each other on this journey. I have no doubt that with dedication and perseverance, we will create a vibrant and thriving community that future generations will be proud to be a part of.
